*waves stumps and gnarled claws back* I hope the backgrounds didn't use up too much ink - the sample is sort of like a brochure - I think the parchment will have to be white in some of the larger packs. Many thanks! Go for it. Any good forums or blogs that I should be posting on out there? At some point, not sure when... I while back I made some very simple forest paths and clearings - adaptable to WHQ - and posted them on Deviant Art. I didn't finish working on ruins in clearings and so forth, so I may have to start from scratch. The two sections are: Forest Path http://fav.me/dv1dog Clearing: http://fav.me/dvexby Two monsters meet on a path! Desert Canyons: http://fav.me/d21734c http://fav.me/d2172si http://fav.me/d2172dd ____________ STOP PRESS: The sample pack is being downloaded by lots of peeps on RPGDriveThru and RPGNow - one nice chap has reviewed me in his blog "Falling Damage" in German. |

Hey guys!
Just discovered this thread and Will's AWESOME stuff a few days ago! Can't wait to see what comes next. I let everybody know over at onemonk.com about your tiles Bill... I know they're always looking for quality tiles and I believe that's what you've got here! I really like the idea of a wilderness tileset as well as the desert one. The sky really is the limit! Anyway, thanks for sharing your stuff with us and I look forward to buying ALL your stuff! onemonkeybeau |
Thanks so much, onemonkeybeau, for the headsup at the onemonk.com forum and the ace review - with your praise alone I'm worried that I can't build a temple fast enough to entertain potential cultists ... Thanks also pointing me towards a whole load of inspirational fantasy printing resources.
Welcome to Lost and the Damned. The one called Mortis rules here, he accepts most forms of sacrifice ... |
*Facebook*
Okay for anyone who's interested, I've had a bit of a Facebook reshuffle. Hopefully the Facebook ModBots won't tell me off too soon for using an account and not a "page" for Inked Adventures. Some of the members here have befriended me there (profound thankees!). My Inked Adventures account ( http://www.facebook.com/inkedadventures ) is for people who just want to follow dungeon stuff - and not my embarrassing publish-to-profile statements from FarmVille ("A Lost Bunny Rabbit wandered onto Billiam's Farm ..."). A more general page about Maps, Floor plans and Dungeons is here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fantasy-maps-dungeon-floor-plans-table-top-RPGs/132590436767254 - I didn't want to upload any of Mortis's pictures of boxes without permission, it's general for anyone wanting to post RPG game pictures using dungeon or forest tiles, dungeon scenery etc. EDIT: I'm pretty sure that anyone can add photos to that page if they want to upload anything there. *Flickr photos of skewiff dungeon bits from the sample pack* Slide show: Apologies to anyone getting the same content from about four different sources! I promise I'll have a proper full dungeon pack up at some point! *Dungeon Demon Editor is heading into Beta stage* For a sneak peak at the forth coming Dungeon Demon map editor head over to Rusty Axe Games http://rustyaxe.com My work is part of the "Printer Friendly Dungeon Art Pack". |

Woot! (as the kids say)
Looks like Inked Adventures is off to a good launch now! (can I request you make a new thread for the finished commercial products and discussion there of) The recent surge of activity here on the forum is also due in no small part to tLatD being the unofficial testing ground for your dungeon tiles, over the last few months more and more Dungeoneers are trying to get in on the action and who can blame them!
You have my permission to post any of my pictures of your dungeon tiles, ect in use as long as you credit Me and (more importantly) The Lost and the Damned Forum. The same goes for the dungeon tile sheets I've edited BTW more Mortis custom-tiles to come soon and I have some experimental alternate versions of your standing doors to share with you too

Totally agree - this should be kept as a developmental floor plans thread, not a commercial pimping ground. Mwhahah.
I also meant your MortisQuest pictures (and that "nostalgic montage" on page 1 of this thread) - anything which celebrates where maps and figures collide on the tabletop, also we need to educate the world with a few historical items. Okay I'll steal a few and credit. I must remember to link in with tLatD FB page. What's with the Labyrinth guy? or is that you charging in heroically - or is it an example of the sort of pictures you'd post? |

yea that's all cool too as long as the Forum is credited and thus promoted (to avoid confusion please make sure there is a link to the Forum itself too as well as the FB fan group – I talked to some one the other day who though it was just a FB group and wondered where all the stuff I'd been telling them about was) Sorry I'm in a rather silly mood today for some reason, I guess an explanation is in order ... that's Sir Didymus, when we first meet him in the film he stops Sarah, Ludo and Hoggle and tells them “None may pass this way without my permission” of course all they have to do is ask for his permission to pass. This suddenly sprung to mind because I was was giving you my permission to re-post the pictures, so I thought I'd include a picture of Sir Didymus. PS please don't tell my private brain care specialist

Crikey Heck! I reckon it's because there's "DnD" and "dungeon tiles" in the title - them search engines, don't miss a trick! Hopefully, some browsers will feel at home enough to join your evil forum-cult mwhahhaha. Basic Dungeon Pack 1 ready soon (it's seriously late). |

Excellent! love the demon statue, not sure about the placement of the braziers though (could cause movement problems around the statue)
But I think I speak for all of us here when I say I'm very much looking forward to the first commercial pack

Same here, I aint lying when I say I check on this site every day :)
Got a little stuck with my rpplans, but its slowly creeping forward again - as always hard to find the hours when my friends have families and kids. I have to confess having a bad case of anxiety over starting up, I want everything to be "perfect"... Anyways, heres looking forward to your work Mr Babble :) |

It's not very wide as chambers go. - More a sort of "evil chapel", than temple, I guess. I was thinking that those spaces would be good for cowering pre-sacrifice prisoners, offerings treasures and access to secret passages. All of which would require just a little extra work by players to access. |

It's a relief to hear that other folks get anxious about delivery of completed items. I'm gutted that I haven't found a good long run of time to complete my first "proper" modular dungeon pack, only able to do bits and pieces. Lots of distractions - real world life stuff (job, relationships etc.) and a couple of other offers-that-I-couldn't-refuse (I'll provide info when they're launched!) I've also discovered yesterday that I've mislaid the pad in which I drew a whole set of stand-up doors (so maybe that'll have to be an expansion pack). D'Oh! I think I've got to stop being a perfectionist and just bang the stuff out! When I'm back at my flat sometime I also plan to scan in some of those 80's Games Workshop Floor Plan sheets - to scale - for the old school role players. *grin* |

I see the Necrotic Portal is up on DriveThruRPG now, excellent stuff

Damn, that's a much better name for it! - Naturally at 3am I forget all the good words. Okay, I promise I'll run a separate thread sometime plugging products, it doesn't feel right to do it here. But now you've mentioned the said item.... Skeletal Archway and Portal (on DriveThruRPG Incidentally I think they look much better when you curve off the corners. I'm feeling a bit cheeky charging for it, I couldn't get it posted for much less than 65 cents, it's really a sort of test (also PayPal gets a bit upset with small purchases - 11 cent charges). I've actually sold a few - but some were through non-profit "coupons" - I must investigate this - also I suspect I probably know the buyers by name. *grin* I decided that since OneBookShelf got me to sign and scan a big contract it was worth just trying out the trading systems. The stats are fascinating. DriveThruRPG and RPGNow and all the OneBookShelf sites support both trader and customer much more than Lulu.com, but the focus there is much more on printing products. When I learn more I'll post it in a separate thread. I really believe in big value packs - selling a single graphic seems rather strange, but it keeps folk stimulated whilst I keep promising the basic dungeon pack. I'm dying to show you the cover for some desert tiles which I've done for another games trader- but it's still awaiting launch. P.S. I found the missing art!! (Bugger. Now I have to colour it in and add shadows n stuff ...) |
P.S. If regular LatD members fancy a "Review copy" of the above (especially since signing up to DriveThruRPG can sometimes be a hassle)- PM/Email me and I'll send the PDF.
Exclusive to Lost and the Damned, yadda yadda. |
