It occurred in mission 2 of Mission dreadnought. Blood angel squad.  a dreadnought with 4 heavy weapons  was firing missiles at the squad... and yes there was orcs and gretchens scattered about nearby.

on another topic i've been using the tarantular, and I've been unable to target bulkhead doors... or even destroy them.

great work by the way, with the tarantular movement and facing direction options, I'm sure it would have taken a while to work it all out.

I've found three more bugs:


1. The game crashed when I used blind grenades. Some of the team, including the sarge, had returned to the docking claw, but some were still on the map - I think that might be what triggers it.

2. Another error is when you try to give the Heavy Weapon order to the Plasma Gun marine. Guess not many people play Imperial Fists, so this hasn't been reported yet :)

3. The Bolt Pistol + Power Axe combo can't attack diagonally, even though the Weapon Selection screen says it can.

New update is out. Fixes the following bugs:

Tarantula can now target and destroy bulkheads.
Tarantula can now change facing after opening a door.
Blind grenades no longer crash game.
Heavy weapon order works correctly for all heavy weapons.
Bolt pistol and Power axe weapon selection screen now shows attack diagrams for shooting and melee.
Bolter limits have been corrected.

I have a question regarding genestealers in mission dreadnought. when i play with only one marine squad.. and the genestealer event card comes up... should I be ambushed with 3 genestealers ? because as it is I'm only getting one appearing beside me each time.

Extra genestealers only appear in mission 1 of MD.  The number of genestealers appearing depends on how many there are already on the board plus a random factor. If there are 2 genestealers already on the board, only 1 appears. If there are none, 1 - 3 will appear. It is not dependant on how many marine squads are in the mission.

Thanks for the update. Two more errors to report:

1. You can get stuck if you click the Imperial Fist Heavy Weapon order when all your heavy weapon marines are dead/evacuated.

2. Another bug cropped up, causing the game to crash during the alien turn. Not sure what exactly caused it.

Hello all. A new update is out. See first post for download link. See below for bugs fixed.

You can now press "S" to take a screenshot of the game screen.

Scoreboard - Genestealers now appear at the end of the list. Dreadnaughts from the basic game have the Mk VII added.

The text input box was causing the Windows cursor issues. Normal Windows cursors will no longer appear over the game cursor.

Dreads no longer appear on a doorway next to a reinforcement points. Attacking a partially built Dread will no longer cause it to move.

Lascannon now works correctly with Move it order.

Tarantula - Doors can now be opened when a manned tarantula is next to it as well as when a tarantula gunner is next to it. Tarantula gunners are no longer able to stand on the same square as each other. Tarantula and Out of ammo bug fixed. Bulkheads can now only be targetted when inside the tarantula's firing arc. Missile launcher marine killing a Tarantula gunner will no longer destroy tarantula. Genestealers no longer appear on top of a tarantula. The game would occasionally freeze when taking a tarantula on a mission, this no longer occurs. Tarantulas no longer deploy off the edge of a docking claw or over a door/wall. Tarantulas now only move 6 squares. Tarantulas now can only rotate in places they should, e.g. they cannot rotate when next to a wall. Tarantulas no longer reveal blips when walking next to doors and walls. Tarantula can no longer target itself.

Tarantulas and Lascannons will now always wound/kill a Dread when rolling 5 or more on red dice.

Heavy weapon order no longer freezes game if no heavy weapon marines available.

Assault cannon marine can now move after rolling high red die values.

A warning will now appear if you have not used a marine during your turn when you place the mouse over the End Turn button.

Auto Defence no longer causes game to crash after killing the last marine on the vessel.

Any order card buttons added during a mission will be placed in the first available slot after any existing buttons.

Mission selection text, and gui buttons, now appear in the correct spot irregardless of the location you are within the screen.

The vertical dreadnaught factory door was difficult to right click. This door can now be selected normally.

Multiple targets are no longer created on bulkheads.

You can no longer have 2 heavy or extra heavy weapons selected of the same type.

Aliens no longer make walking sounds unless they are actually moving.

New update fixes more issues as seen below (download in 1st post):

When Dreadnaughts attack, their combat dice will now be displayed on the screen separately so that you can see the weapon die results.
New Open all/Close all options added for Master controls.
Within the mission editor, the board popup menu will now give you 3 more options for dealing with doors on that board - Open all doors, Close all doors and Remove all doors.
Aliens can now move through unmanned tarantulas.
Whenever you select extra marines, you will now be able to select 5 Bolters.
Bioscanner now inspects blips rather than reveal them.
Reinforcements no longer appear on tarantulas.
Doors can now only be opened by marines from the same chapter during that chapter's turn. E.g. If an IF marine is the only marine next to a door and it is the BA chapter's turn, the player cannot open the door next to the IF marine.
Opening a door is now classed as a squad starting their turn.
Disabling Dread factory - If you have more than 2 factories and 2 marines from the same chapter are in the same dread factory, only that factory is disabled.

Oh my God, I have just discovered this remake only today ! I'm a big fan of the game and i'm still playing it  (boardgame) with my wife & kids !



Just a question. I've Space Crusade and Mission Dreadnought in french. Are you interested to make a French version ? I can really help i've all manuals & cards ! Can give you all texts, scan all cards... Your game is only a exe file, can't do any modification by myself.

Really, your game is incredible ! I remember your 3D Hero Quest & 3D Space Crusade. But this 2D Space Crusade it is the consecration !

Just to know : the re-roll dice is always automatic ? For Targetter cards & Bionic Arm for example. Sad it's impossible to know the score of the first throw and after re-roll, see the difference with the new score.

The game is great and work perfect on my windows tablet pc but there is a big problem on Camaing mode after select squad crash ... Please fix that...please.....

the problem is on 1_5_8 vesrison

1_5_4 dont have it

If i replace data.win 13.807KB from 1_5_4 to 1_5_8  i dont have crash.....

*Replace that after run one time the 1_5_4 version


This file has other changes ?? If i play with that  i lost somethink from you last updates ???

hey lurchbrick, i had some dramas when setting up for a mission in MD selected 1 bolter and 1 heavy and the rest extra heavies.... and twice it crashed with this.

Please fix the Gampaing Mode (Crash Bug on Start) and add Win the campaign option when a player get Captain Senioris rank - Lord of Chaos for Alien Player.

You have made real excelent work with this and with HeroQuest Thank You Very Very Much my friend!

I was actually working on an isometric version of this game previously but the guy who was doing the images was unable to complete them.

If someone can provide me with isometric images of all the monsters, doors, etc, then I'll update the game to use those images.
