Thanks for your help, now it seems to work. Never before I 're confronted by 3 Drednought in the 1.Mission. Now I pass it without Problems. You've done me a great favour, it seems to be now playable. ;)
Glad to see this is still being updated. I'm still getting the game freeze problem related to the Alien Elite event. Don't know what triggers it. Really frustrating since I was just about to win the final mission when it happened.
Another thing - I've noticed the AI sometimes brings the Dreadnoughts from the expansion (Mk. VIII etc.) set with the Alien Task Force event in the original campaign. I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen. I'd figure if the marine players don't get the stuff from MD in the original campaign, neither should the aliens.
Finally, the AI will often use the Alien Teleporter event to have two identical aliens swap places. Perhaps there is a way to at least make it choose a different type of alien?
The "Alien Elite" event should now work as advertised with no more freezing.
Added new option under "Edit Mission -> Aliens -> 1 Squad/2 Squads/3 Squads" which allows you to choose which unused reinforcements get added to the mission during the "Alien Task Force" event. On the reinforcement screen, you will now see a green tick icon on each alien that is an unused reinforcement. Right click the alien to remove the tick if you don't want it to be used during the 'Alien Task Force' event.
The AI will now more likely swap different aliens during the "Alien Teleporter" event.
The long wait is finally over, the Eldar expansion pack is now able to be played!
There have also been a number of changes to the mission editor:
- Limit which weapons the squads can take in a mission.
- Change the starting rank of your squads.
- New mission objectives.
- Adjust the number of enemies in a mission. You want your squads to fight 100 Gretchin, you can now have them! You want 100 chaos marine reinforcements, why not?
The Eldar campaign is quite tough but you can beat the missions. The best advice I have is to use the Eldar's speed to your advantage. Keep as much distance as possible from the aliens and use your numbers to keep the firepower rate up.
I don't generally take many heavy weapons as this makes the Eldar quite slow. For taking care of tough aliens, I use the Exarch and make sure he has the Exarch cards that help him to do melee attacks and reroll whenever he can.
Hi, I made a Mission on the Editor, where you must kill Dreadnoughts from the Class X. Now I find out that on the current Version of SC you posted ALL Aliens can be the Primary Target under "Kill Alien" and you receive the Mission completed, EXCEPT The Dreadnoughts Class VIII, IX and X. IF you edit them for the Primary target "Kill Alien" , you will not receive the "Mission complete", That means you lost the Mission....and that is a BUG. Can you raise that BUG away?
