Would this pass as Imperial guard?

This is a figure by a company called Grey matter minitures, unfortunately I think they've ceased trading.
It was marketed as "Major shutterbaum", but to me it looked far more like an imperial guardsman of some sort.
Its a 120mm figure and I think it may have been loosely based on cadian shock troops either way, its a nice figure, even if the pose is a little dull.

Good model and nicely painted!

If you ask me it’s Imperial Guard –ish, but lacks the Imperial Guard insignia (Imperial Eagles, company marking, ect) and other small details that would tie it firmly to the 40k universe.

But there really is an imperial guard vibe that I think may have inspired this figure

Yes it’s certainly very imperial guard like, just needs a few imperial markings on the equipment. Either way if it’s supposed to be an imperial guard troop or not, it’s still an excellent piece of work
