Okay, this is from the first copy of White Dwarf I ever bought - No. 54, August 1984.

Since I've been looking at Traveller stuff recently the photos of sci-fi minis in this issue recaptured my eye.

I believe these are the 15mm laserburn miniatures which predate 40k!

They're still available here:

Interesting that you should mention 15mm.co.uk  - I did a search last night and tried to order some freebies from them but keep getting an error at checkout - just had an email back from them telling me that they don't see anything  wrong at their end, but that there is high volumes of traffic.  Yep, I bet because they all want freebie figures! (+£3.50 P+P hmm)

I hate it when that happens! I keep managing to break various online shopping systems, I just think no one wants my money anymore haha.

I keep thinking about doing some 15mm sci fi as I already have a lot of ww2 stuff in that scale, the brigade tanks are something I keep going oooo at in particular. Maybe one day ;)

^ Thanks!
Got very sucked into looking at these tiny bits of metal last night.  Then I went on to the starships ...

After successfully ordering them they arrived and I must say that they are rather good quality.  Also these particular figures are nondescript enough to be adaptable to many settings - low tech, high tech etc. - although I find the bearded figure a bit silly.

(pic from 15mm.co.uk)

The middle one has a hood over the face apparatus - like a cold weather / harsh terrain parka.  Each them has backpacks and ammo pouches (mainly on back).

My pack of ten included three beardies, three face mask dudes and four of the generic unhelmeted guys (although in the photo they seem to have given him shades).

I'm sure they'll come in useful for something... *grin*
