What do we think about forge world?
Forgeworld, a part of GW aimed at "grown up" gamers with big ideas and bigger pockets. You want unique minis? you got it, at a price. With the "dumbing down" of the majority of the 40k range (and dont try to tell me the black reach fisher-price "look mummy what i made" models are an experiment) coupled with the move away from certain metal figures forgeworld seems to be the only place your going to get characterful and well made models.
However, £50 for a book? you cheeky fucking bastards. £35 for a COMMAND SQUAD? erm, behave.
yes the drop troops make me wet in places only normally the ladies get to smell and yes the krieg have a certain charm i could buy into. some of the support vehicles are amazing and the different sentinel mks are good in game and on the cabinet shelf. but are they worth it?
iv never worked in resin, i have illegally downloaded the imp armour books and find them interesting (but no way worth the £250 it would have cost me to buy) and inspirational to a point, but what about other more experienced heads?
