I've recently got back into WFB. I've bought a good size Chaos horde and I'm well into assembling and painting. I think the generic chaos sorcerers available from GW do not look that impressive, so I have converted my own from the masses of spare parts I have left over from the other chaos kits. I was not happy with the staff after I started painting, so it was changed to a small demon held in place by it's neck in a brass collar.
I wanted a mount that could be seen as a demonic steed or a disc. I got to into building the floating rock but it is made from cardboard from binders, super glue and sand. This is how I make most of my terrain and bases. the figure has a magnet in each foot which is mirrored on both bases to allow changing around if I did not want a mount or another player had a paddy about it not being listed in the codex and did not like imaginative deviations from the GW catalogue. I put a pic of my Hellcannon on last becuase I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Used cardboard and sand as above, all miniatures are removable and held in place with magnets.

~The ravings of a single mad Goblin is bad enough, but such a power-hungry, malice-filled creature as Mortis can never hope to be understood~
