the hydra is a very cheap, very effective weapon in the Guard arsenal, but as yet there is no formal model save the FW one.
im very keen to make one, but also have the versitility to use it as a chimera when needed.
as it pans out, nothing could be easier!
the cupola is removable, as is the weapon mount. in the rear section i used a razorback weapon mount trimmed down and it fits perfectly. i then used two of the angled chimera armour sections as a rear deck and rear lower hull.
the upper chimera hull fits perfectly but you DO need to trim the lower floor section back about 5mm so it fits against the lower angled rear hull. you have quite a margin of error there so dont be afraid to cut.
the chimera version is indistinguishable from the normal tank, but when needed it can bust out the aegis defence turret like a crazy transformer. just remember NOT TO GLUE the cupola on the hydra section. everything else is slick and easy. any questions just post below and i will put more pics up
