Vintage Bargain!

hi everyone,

Today I went to a secondhand book festival which also had some board games, in hopes of a good find, nothing could have prepared me for the bargain that was in store.  as we entered the shop we casually looked about to find the board game section. The Mrs made a b-line straight to the table, saying "quick quick on top look they've got one" trying not to alert anyones elses attention to the piece of vintage gold sitting right on the top of the games pile. We snatched up the immaculate condition space crusade box and didn't let it go or out of our sight while we continued to scavenge! I found copies of pretty much every game from my childhood, though sadly no copies of heroquest.

We took the games to the register. $5.00 australian for the space crusade box, it was sticky taped shut so we had no idea how complete it was. Got home opened it up, all the miniatures were present and had been semi painted to an amateur standard. then WOW!  this game had never been played!!!  every piece of cardstock was still in it's original sheets, dice and playing cards were unopened!!.... a Full complete unplayed set for $5 !!!!  


I just threw the miniatures into a tub of detol and I'll give them a scrub tomorrow

sorry to make you all jealous just couldn't keep this to myself!
