Awesome stuff dude, classic Rogue Trader miniatures are still some of the best Citadel ever did, they just have this cool quirky feel to them that Citadel lost in later years.
The daemonhost is an excellent model too, although the original 54mm scale one made for the Inquisitor game is my favorite version.
PS there seems to have been a spate of hobby stuff happening in kitchens recently

A lot of the 40K-stuff I have is from RT (and lots of it was painted 20-22 years ago...) so if I can find inspiration I could whip up some older but re-painted Chaos Marines for you all too.
Unfortunately I sold off a lot of my old stuff about a decade ago when I was in a financial crisis.
I have yet to paint a 54mm mini. Does the technique differ a lot from smaller figs?
not really, but it's advised to be more subtle with the shading due to the larger size and thus proportionately higher relative level of detail on the miniature. Depending on the sculpt larger miniatures are easier to paint in that respect, larger areas to work with ect
