Squats Return!

Squats are back! … well … not really … but still!
Grombrindal in spaaaaaaaace

This is ‘Grombrindal in space’ the mini that will be given away with White Dwarf subscriptions this year. And this is an awesome model … much more awesome than any miniature of a Dwarf in space suit has any right being.

Sculpted by Dave Thomas this model shows that Citadel can still make awesome mini’s … when they can be bothered.

I’m almost tempted to subscribe this year …

seeing as how its a blatant Squat, the race every geek rants about but would never buy a model from therange. and as we are told squats are dead and gone.

You never know, reaction could stir up from older gamers and this could herald the return of Squats to the 40k game. Maybe this mini is a subtle way of GW testing the waters. Then again it’s not like GW listen to veteran gamers anymore.

Personally I’ve never been keen on the Squat’s background in 40k, but I did like some of the models.

Of course so far this is all speculation, but it might be worth keeping an eye on the Squat situation over the coming year to see what GW does. I’d rather not fill tLatD forum with rumours so lets wait for more solid evidence.
