at Partizan 2011 last month i dropped on a SHITLOAD of necromunda weapons sprues. unfortunatley lots of sprues, all different. but one sprue caught my eye: melta guns... but a stubby, more compact design that i really liked. i had two but i wanted more, ideally 6 in total. so i remembered this thing a guy said to me about instant mold... so i embarked on a journy.
the two halves of my two part mold for the necromunda shotguns
my lego press. after experimentation i discovered it was to deep.
instant mold copies of melta guns. the lighter green one was too badly mixed and split down the middle
while its not the "silver bullet" id hoped for, it is an ok way to get yourself some extra bits. the shotguns are pretty good, and the meltas are "just about ok" but i think they will clean up through painting.
as a PS though... the more you do it the better you get. check these pistols...
they are fucking PERFECT............
painted models to follow one day soon.
