PROJECT: The Fist (demolition and ordanance vehicle, command platoon, 349th AF(R), codename "The Fist"

They call it The Fist... its crew hand picked- each one just this side of crazy. reactive armor was mounted on the front glacis plate, and huge steel and ceramic plates were latched to the flanks. the cuppola was protected by mesh armour plates and two huge magazine fed smoke cannister launchers provide protection when in the open.
the plow at the front clears mines and minor debris with ease, and even large anti-tank devices explode safely under the extened re-enforced cowl.

you know when you do a conversion and there is that moment when you think "oh no, iv fucked it"?
i came close with this.
first off, the Forge World mineplow is fucking shit. the plow itself it pretty good, but the mounting arms are rubbish. second, the side plate are inspired by the forgeworld side armour, but of my own design. they use trainset panels finished with textured plasticard for the "ceramic/reactive" armour.
the cage around the cuploa is a series of filter vents from an LCD projector bulb. I particularly like the shield over the drivers hatch.
the smoke launchers on the turret are from the minplow kit, but i prefered them there instead of mounted on the dozer arms.
the cuppola is from the OLD leman russ.... i thought it looked a bit extra armoured and secure.

as ever, what do you queers think?

I think is awesome like all your other stuff. It's a cool and "realistic"conversion.

A couple of days ago I thought you MUST take a single picture of all your IG stuff...
Obviously only if there's a table quite big to content all your army...
+ Other planes lie beyond the reach Of normal sense and common roads But they are no less real Than what we see or touch or feel. +

Awesome!
Excellent work of the standard I've come to expect from you

The cage and mesh armour give it a nice industrial, bulldozer-ish look and your armour plates look amazing

One think I'd like to suggest as an addition - how about some cables and electronic looking mcguffin on the back/top of the plough to suggest some kinda metal-detector/scanner that gives the crew a heads-up when plough is about to clear a mine?
