MFAP
Chimera Chassis
Crew: 5 (driver, 4 medical orderlies) up to five casualties
Armament: nil
This is a long planned Chimera Ambulance. On the flanks are stretchers and aid backpacks ready for quick deployment. A third stretcher is stored on the upper hull.
This vehicle has no armamaments but it awaiting medical decals.
inside the motor for the electric traverse has been removed and replaced with a Aux Power Unit. The manual winder for the traverse remains. The main weapon has been replaced with a spotlight and night vision equipment as well as thermal imagers for rescue work. The hull weapon has been removed and replaced with a chiller for medicines that need to be below room temprature, as well as a larger lockable drugstore. On the roof are stored bodybags, normally in stowage bins. However this vehicle has them on display which is usually considered bad for morale.
the ammunition store areas have been converted to hold the crews personal belongings. in the passenger area four medi-beds are fitted, two to a side. a further casualty can be carried in between the lower two, but this means none of the casualties can recieve attention while in transit.
the white turret and side panels should have Imperial Medical insignia as well as warnings in Eldar, Tau and Ork languages, it being hoped these races above all others may recognise the non-combatant status of the Ambulance. Although the Orks will probably only do so as there is no one capable of fighting.
pictured: stretcher and aid kit. these are on either side and are stowed so they can be grabbed easily
another long time comming conversion here, and one that is not quite finished due to not only a lack of transfers but not really knowing what to use. The Red Cross seems twee, but is a fairly obvious choice. I don't feel this pic does the tank justice as in person i think it looks quite snazzy. Its not amazing but I enjoyed it and its something iv had bouncing round my head for years.

Great stuff!
It’s things like this that really bring your army to life and make it stand out from any other 40k army I’ve seen – your army is a believable force of troops, vehicles and all the things that support them, rather than collection of all the most powerful units from a codex list.
If you’re interested I’ve got some transfers from a 2nd World War truck kit (ended up converted into an Ork Trukk) which includes ambulance markings and so on. I also have some spare Tau and Eldar transfers kicking around too which you might find useful for the ‘alien language’ markings.

~The ravings of a single mad Goblin is bad enough, but such a power-hungry, malice-filled creature as Mortis can never hope to be understood~
Im ok for alien stuff but im VERY interested in the red crosses! Any chance of a pic?
And to be honest Mortis, the support help and good vibes from the people on this forum who have been saying nice things about my models for YEARS makes me want to try new things!
