now i'm just putting some feelers out WOULD anyone be intrested in starting up a wargaming group in trowbridge? just seeing if there is any takers

well it will be anything it mite be something like one that DDWG are doing, fantasy, sci-fi, historic maybe develop some homegrown games, at the moment i'm just looking for numbers

but I must warn you that if it devolves into another group just playing 40k I will loose interest quicky

I'd be up for it, but like Mortis I have no interest in 40K (and have so far managed to avoid buying 8E Warhamster). Currently painting up some English Civil War historicals though...

but if i can get maybe 30 heads it could be up by janurary

I'd probably be interested too...As there are rumblings of me moving that way and its not far for me anyway. Probably be up for 40K, new Judge Dredd game, Inquisitor, ACTA:Starfleet, Poor Bloody Infantry, amongst others....

Judge Dredd,  Inquisitor, Kings of War, Warpath, Mordheim, Fantasy Warriors, Fantasy Warlord, Space Crusade, Space Hulk, War Machine, Necromunda, Grind, GorkaMorkA as well as anything dungeon based HQ, AHQ, WHQ, CaStLe RaVenLofT, D&DFABG, Dragon Strike and so on (could also run MortiS QuesT if there is enough time) - and if Messy attends; Fallout, Messy Zombies and Alien Bread
In addition: I'm sure I've missed out something and I'm quite happy to learn a new game or 2 I can use my existing miniatures in

Its a campaign based modification of the Lord of the Rings ruleset to allow you to play out skirmish scenarios from The Three Musketeers - originally published in one of the wargames magazines (I forget which).

There are three factions - Kings Musketeers, Cardinals Guard, and Gentilhommes. Instead of Might/Will/Fate models have Faith and Panache stats which do the same thing (Musketeers can't gain Faith, Cardinals Guard can't gain Panache, Gentilhommes can get low scores in both but its hard for them to get either very high). A typical band uses up to a dozen models, usually consisting of 3 or 4 heroes plus their retainers.

I've never run it as a campaign, but I've played a few one off games based on scenes from the books and it seems to work. Then again there are quite a few "historical" variants of LotR out there for different periods all of which do the job pretty well.

intresting, whats the game time ? can you fit in 2 games in an hour? but at the end of the day if people want to play then go for it

ooo I'd probably be up for GorkaMorka and Saga as well....Been looking for an excuse to paint up some Vikings and Normans. Would anyone be up for a WWII naval game? Got a copy of Naval Thunder and some ships and want to see if I can infect someone else with the maritime gaming curse.

The stuff I've got is 1/3000th , cheap as anything but still pretty obvious what's what if you know your ships. See this thread for some of my painted stuff.

Got a fair amount of German and British ships, probably do some Italians at some point, maybe some pacific stuff if someone wants to game that theatre (already got a couple of american ships somewhere actually).

I'm not actively casting at the moment, I've still got all the moulds and stuff I just haven't had the time or space to do any casting.
