Glad you had a good time, although this reads a little one sidedly

I took command of the Blood Angels fighting along side MessyArt with the Angry Marines (which he should really work on next instead of other models  ) and some Imperial Fists and a Unpainted Chapter *tut*.
The other 2 players are our good friends Jon (known as Radwell on the Forum) and Jennan. Jon was commanding the Imperial Fists Squad while Jennan was in command of his Flesh Tearers Squad (also known as 'The Bloodly Jennan Marines')
I would also point out that all the Space Marine Squads in play (with the possible exception of the quick yellowing on Messy's Angry Marines) were unpainted - Jennan's Marines were just more noticeable because of they arn't in the coloured plastic of the Marines from the Space Crusade Box … in fact most of the stuff we use for Space Crusade is unpainted for several reason which include procrastination, being busy with other project, the fact that they are a easier to store unpainted as I'm not worried about them rattling around in the bottom of  the Space Crusade box because they have no paint to chip off and finally I feel kinda proud having so many classic models untouched by a paint brush for so long – they are the same condition they were when they were first assembled out of the box nearly 20 years ago

Messyart came across the newly ruled Screamer-Killer (our objective to kill) and the newly ruled Genestealer Broodlord around turn 2 and 3 completing the objective we carried on playing and I ended up leaving the game at 67 points with only 1 Loss and recovering that lose with an Event card earning second place (maybe even joint first at that point of the game) points wise.
Actually we've had rules for the Brood Lord for a while now, this was just the first game it got it's new reference sheet.
You're score should be 62 as you need to deduct 5 points for the loss of a Bolter Marine. After you left John's Squat shot quickly ahead of you after running into and quickly dealing with 2 Tyranids with Bone Swords, A Tyranid with a Death Spitter and several Genestealers and Chaos Androids

One thing I will say is having 4 people lined up to kill with a Conversion Beamer only for it to fail is very upsetting
That's the thing about Space Crusade it requires a fair amount of planning and strategic manoeuvring, but there's always a chance you'll roll all 0s and your weapons will be ineffective or a Genestealer will leap out of a hole in the ceiling and ruin all your carefully laid plans.

Thanks to the guys for letting me join in and introducing me to a great game!
Glad you had fun! and remember: Life sucks, there is only war and you're probably going to get eaten by Tyranids

One thing I didn't ask about was the turrents in the box is that an equipment card?
What everyone insists on calling the 'turrets' in my Space Crusade miniatures box are in fact Tarantula Mobile Support Weapons

These cumbersome and difficult to manoeuvre (in narrow spaces like the corridors of Space Hulks) Weapon platforms provide extra heavy support for Marine Squads in Mission Dreadnought, they are armed with Twin-linked Las-cannons and are moved about with the help of small anti-grav motors. They are not (as many mistakenly think) sentry guns and in fact need to be manned by a Space Marine to be able to fire.

The Space Crusade Tarantulas are, or rather were a massive re-design of the original Tarantula Weapon Platforms used by many races in the Rogue Trader period (presumably so they could fit down corridors on Space Hulks more easily)

Forge World make newer style Tarantulas which can be equipped with many different weapon options, but due to their even greater bulk will never fit down a corridor on a Spacehulk

Just gonna say..

There'd be no sneaking. If that turantula was in a position to turn and fire on a 'killer, that means it's already moved into a position to fire on the Turantula.

Dead Turantula

The Forge world models make for great obstacles. True the Tarantula Weapons Platform is not a sentry gun, however lost Imperial ships could have these at fixed points and could have been reactivated by the horde to use against the Imperium........
