It seems like ages since I last posted some pictures of my dungeon in action and we've played quite a lot games in that time. As you may have read in other posts we use a home-brew system dubbed Mortis-Quest which is loosely based on the HeroQuest rules and follows the same sort of idea, four (or so) heroes venture into a dungeon to fight monsters and gain treasure, but the rules are more detailed and complex. The rules are constantly evolving with each game we play, so they are very much an on going project, some day I will get around to typing up and posting our rules on the forum, but that will have to be another time.
In the mean time here’s some highlights from our games The Catacombs of Nuln ^Our Heroes explore the catacombs and sewers below Nuln (note the converted wall with drainage grill) ^Moran and Dave, the Sacred Sockpuppet of Sigmar, unwittingly trigger a spike trap! ^ Some of the new markers I made to mark where traps have been found and which rooms have been searched for secret doors or treasure ^ Sliph, fights off a rat while Rosie (little Kat’s Halfling Theif) attempts to pick a lock ^Fredrik and Dave take the more direct approach of beating down a locked door with their axes ^Dave and Fredrik encounter a Skaven Warrior ^Eye Bats! ^The players leave no stone unturned when exploring a dungeon ^Fredrik takes on a hoard of Giant Rats single handed ^Mean while, Rosie, Sliph and Dave keep their distance from the mutated rodents ^Rosie comes face to face with a Chaos Mutant Kazak Zaroth Part 1: The Halls of the Mountain King ^Fredrik gets up close and personal with a Rat Ogre ^Marz Grendalstone the Dwarf meets a Stone Troll ^Raven the Bloody takes on the Skaven ^ in the lost Dwarf City of Kazak Zaroth our heroes stumbled into the middle of an underground war between the Skaven and Greenskins ... ^... but they soon discovered much worse things lurked in the dark places of the Old World ^A Greater Fire Demon of Chaos, The Balgorg destroys all in it’s path! ^Silph sacrifices her life in combat with the Balgorg, allowing the rest of the party just enough time to escape ^ “Run You Fool!!” Mark’s Dwarf narrowly escapes becoming barbecued

My Dwarf Marz only justs escapes with only 2 wounds left out of eight.
The final dice role of 8 was roled only just saveing Marz as he does a flying leap out of the dungeon. I had the vison at this point of where In the reign of fire as the fire bursts past him. Game on

Gorgeous stuff Mortis! You inspired me to hunt down some Wizkids 3d dungeon sets on eBay!

Thanks dude, I've got some more pictures from some recent games to post up soon
ah! just what I need another piranha in the tank! Lol Seriously though, I wish you good luck in finding some, the sets are very sought after (ironically thanks in part to me posting pictures of my set-up all over the forum). I think I can say without fear of contradiction that the MK3DD sets are (or rather was) the most flexible and affordable way to create 3D dungeon set-ups, it's such crime that WizKids stopped making them, if they were to bring them back into production now I think they'd sell like drug-filled hotcakes.

Agreed! Seems the best stuff around is currently out of print (i.e. WHQ, HQ, etc). I've actually turned to card-stock terrain of late. Nabbed a slew of World Works pdf's that I've been throwing together at work when it's slow. Not as sturdy as the Wizkids stuff, but sufficient for the time being.

Yea, I feel like some old guy when I say this, but the hobby just isn't as good as it used to be
I've seen some of the World Works stuff on their website, it looks pretty good but the modern style computer rendered artwork gives it an odd computer game like feel, although I guess that not necessary a bad thing, although I prefer retro style artworks myself. I'd be interested in seeing some pictures of your setup some time. BTW have you seen the card '3D cut-out blocks' our resident dungeon artist Billiam Babble did a while back? http://billiambabble.deviantart.com/art/3D-Dungeon-Blocks-prototype-67349920

The dungeon you see above (and in other posts) was converted from 5+ sets of the now out of production Mage Knight 3D Dungeon packs. Some of the sets appear on eBay from time to time, but they are very difficult to get hold of and also very sought after (not least of which because of me posting pictures of my setup on the forum) so they tend to go for rather high prices.
Thus getting extra/spare parts for my dungeon is rather difficult, let alone enough getting hold of enough parts to start puting together another dungeon for some one else. The time and cost of tracking down the parts alone would be astronomical at best. On top of that I'm far too busy with projects for Triple Helix and my own personal projects to take on any more work at the moment. Thus I'm sorry but I won't be able to build you a 3D dungeon like mine, however so as to not leave you disappointed I'll suggest some alternatives. If you looking for a pre-made 3D dungeon and you have a lot of money to spend (which it seems you do) I suggest checking out Dwarven Forge's line of dungeon terrain http://www.dwarvenforge.com/ You may also want to take a look at the Bendy Dungeon Walls range by Dark Platypus Studio which I reviewed June of last year. http://the-lost-and-the-damned.664610.n2.nabble.com/Bendy-Dungeon-Walls-Review-td5201044.html Another company worth looking at is Thomarillion http://the-lost-and-the-damned.664610.n2.nabble.com/Thomarillion-3D-Dungeon-Terrain-td5651358.html

More OOP stuff :( that Mage Knight stuff looks awesome.
But I probably would just end up wasting lots and lots of money buying them and rarely using them anyway if they were still in production :P so it's probably for the best lol. I tend to get carried away a bit when a spark of interest grows into a roaring hellfire Nice pictures! I'm jealous now :P
