Malifaux Showgirls

so, i thought i'd post some pics of my latest crew for Malifaux, the Arcanist Showgirls :)

the Showgirls are one of the new crews in Malifaux Book 2: Rising Powers and feature on the front cover :D
i loved the minis from when i first saw them, but the unusual playstyle put me off slightly... after receiving a hammering from newbie_from_hell after the UK GT i've refocussed my attention on them :D

i started with Colette, the crews' leader (or Master to term it properly!) .. while i didn't do any converting (other than my custom cast base), for paintwork i followed Mad Moxxi from Borderlands (deffo one of my favourite characters!) as pictured on the right :)

now, while not part of the Showgirls as per say (with Malifaux you can hire from your own faction pretty much without restriction) the Steamborg is big and imposing and made a good Bouncer with a bit of work :D

now, in game The Coryphee are able to merge into a single figure; representing mechanical precision and a deadly dance.
For this, many people simply magnetise the two miniatures so they can be moved from seperate bases onto a single one.
my name wouldn't be Greenstuff Gav if i simply followed this trend, so instead i spent some time reposing and resculpting skirt detail to pose the two together in a more sensual pose :D

and finally, i decided the character Cassandra didn't fit my playstyle, and so i've been converting her into a waitress; her and hte unused girls will be painted up as NPCs, Sin City Style!

Excellent stuff!

Great paint job on Colette and I like to the images people use for reference when painting

Nice conversion work on the others, I look forward to seeing them finished

To be fair I'm not sure quite where to put Malifaux miniatures in our current categories, I'll keep this in Fantasy for the moment, but if we a fair few post of similar stuff I'll see about adding the 'Steam-Punk Miniatures' section I've been considering for Malifaux, Warmachine and other miniatures that fall into that kind of area. We did used to have a Horror Miniatures section which I guess Malifaux kind of falls into too

Very nice

. I have been looking at the malifaux models for a while and like the resurectionist spirits of vengance box set! http://wyrd-games.net/shop/images/P/p-16327.jpg . Very nice conversion work and I think they will look fantastic painted- your standards are usually fantastic! Is there any chance of a intro game of malifaux at helix?

sure! am around this saturday, otherwise next Thursday (late shift this week so no gaming

) i have a box of terrain and a couple of crews that can be used to try out the rules
