Kingdoms Of Amalur RECKONING (Epic Title, Methinks)

Ok what? Browsing through CVG, I came across Kingdoms of Amalur, Reckoning (Must be repeated every time, full title now). Another open world RPG? Have they not removed our breath enough with Skyrim? Averting to you tube, KoAR was typed in to the search bar and well, inevitably, it seems a worthy contender. It's like  Eldar Scrolls, except more Mickie the mouse/ Marvel/ Shiny-oblivion style surroundings/ Fantastic surrealism and Cartoony... eh ... -ism. Even though Eldar Scrolls smashes this game in interaction, I would suspect a hint of Slash and Dash gameplay, (Fighting and Rolling), but it has to be played first. It looks smashing. It has that Fable look about it, (Without the piss-taking). Taverns, green fields, wizards with lustrious beards, and *Sigh* Gnomes. But in saying that, Kingdoms of Amalur is up to be worthy contender.

Looks fun - if anyone wants to give it a try theres a demo on Steam right now. Playing the demo should unlock some items for Mass Effect 3 as well ^^

Saw this the other evening while in Playstation online store, downloaded the demo and have to say I was very impressed.  The demo allowed me to work through the entire 1st introduction-type level and then 45 mins of actual game play afterwards.  Game looks wonderful, its more cartoony than Oblivion and Skyrim, more along the Fable line, the open world areas are beautiful, with plants that can be picked for alchemy and plenty creatures to savagely murder!  There were several quests that I simply can't wait for the whole game in order to continue playing to see where they go but also some I was able to complete in the alloted 45mins with no major issues, including catching a well to help a reversed werewolf!

Looking forward to full version!  Highly recommend the demo for the meantime!
