Hi all ...

Delves
I've been gaming on and off for 25 years - and started RPG's with the D&D White Box set.  I remember showing my friend in High School my overland campaign map.  He said it was OK, but lacked detail.  Then I pulled out the second set of maps, a full page mapped out for each square on the large scale map.  That silenced him ;)

I like dungeon crawl board games, my favorite of all time Warhammer Quest.  I'm working on a project to create a ruleset for a new dungeon crawler.  I'm trying to use the best elements of the classics combined with some new ideas to get the perfect mix of simple rules, easy play experience, but with depth and character advancement.

An RPG veteran! Welcome Delves!
Your project is very interesting, I'm involved in a dungeon crawling project too (less ambitious than yours, I'm only trying to improve HeroQuest with few changes).
Let us know about your progress!
I'm very interested about dungeons and house rules!

PS:
So you started with the beginning of RPGs!

Woah.
Now there's "old school" and really "olden old school"!
*grins* There's nothing like a good campaign map, especially when silencing a critic!

After D&D, Warhammer Quest always felt like a too much fun guilty pleasure.   Having seemingly less time these days its always interesting to see how popular fast play dungeon crawler style games can be amongst even the most veteran role/rules player.   There's a few home-brewers on this forum, always willing to muse about the ideal system, so I'm guessing you've come to the right place if you want to bounce any ideas off anyone.

Played any RQ, T&T, Traveller or Call of Cthullu?

Welcome, greetings and all that. :)

Welcome aboard! Good to have another dungeon crawler on here!
