Presenting scans from :
![]() (randomly procured from a charity shop I think) There's three sections in the book, the first is straightforward prose, the second is a scenario for HeroQuest and the third section is a Fighting Fantasy style adventure. I've scanned the scenario. (Apologies for dodgy angles and bizzare sizes, I didn't want to bust the spine and its very late into the night and I'm easily confused by dpi scan settings....) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Great find!
I don’t own any of the HQ novels my self, but I believe I may have a PDF version of that adventure some place. Looks like it would be a good adventure to introduce a new player to the game before he or she joins a long-term gaming group who are already familiar with the rules.

*special drool reserved for retro nostalgia moments*
The look fab laid out together. I'm so glad you've got a copy of the Tyrant's Tomb. My copy had to be thrown away, along with a couple of other books (of no comparitive value) which were in the bathroom. There was a nasty vomitting incident .. Okay too much information. Beasts of Nurgle ate my Heroquest book! |

I’m about half way through the first one, they are pretty good. Set in a sort of cut down version of the Warhammer World as it was around the time of 3th edition. The latter part of the books are a Fighting Fantasy style adventure using HeroQuest-ish rules but D6 based (ie, no combat dice) and the 2nd and 3rd books have HeroQuest adventures for the game in them too!
PS: I ran Growl of Thunder the other night, it went pretty well but ended with 2 characters that had picked up the artefacts trying to sneak them south into the Empire rather than returning them to the Norse village. They ended up being lynched by a mob of angry Norse warriors and Dwarfs in a mountain pass ...

It's a Fighting Fantasy type adventure that uses HeroQuest statistics but plays using D6s
