HeroQuest Miniatures painted

Here's a picture of my progress so far. I've started with practicing painting on my Cluedo mini's, and then my gf and I tried some D&D and HQ mini's.
I'm doing the goblin, and my gf is doing the D&D mini's (bugbear = polar warbear, goblin = ice gremlin)

It's not a great picture, but I'll make better ones once they are done :)

Most are only painted in basic colours, and need washing and drybrushing, and some highlights or shading.

Re: HeroQuest Miniatures painted

All 6 D&D skeletons, based on the colour scheme my wife thought up on the first one (the darker one in the middle).
only need to base them. And perhaps a wash.

Last week I finally had some time to do some painting again. Finished my remaining 3 rat ogres, and a white seer (actually a skaven clanrat musician, but it'll do)

I've had some time for some painting! yay!

I gave my white seer a new base, well I repainted it that is, to have small cobblestones with moss

I tried my hand at a zombie. Didn't even see the teeth at first, but pics from others made me aware of them. those were hard...

Skeleton: black undercoat, bleached bone quick drybrush, skull white light drybrush, brown scythe with gunmetal blade, mithril edges and some rust dabbed on.

I'm really happy about how my female elf turned out:

Your thoughts? :)

Re: HeroQuest Miniatures painted

Nice work!

remember to use a knife and/or file to clean off the mold-lines before painting

try dry brushing a layer of Bubonic Brown before the bleached bone when painting skeletons, it will add a richness to the bone colour

bases looking great too BTW

Tadaaaa!!! The final results of my Orc army:

I've made 9 normal orcs, with 3 different weapons, and painted them in 3 colours (3 weapons for each colour). The orc with the big notched scimitar is supposedly their leader, so I gave him an extra shield and fur cape. Hi Ulag!
The three remaining orcs I had got a tan: darker green skins. They're my Black Orcs. As they're meaner and tougher than my regular orcs, they get shields. Hope you like 'em! Thanks to Maike05 for his awesome Milliput tutorial.

Really nice stuff!
I see you improved your paintjob, especially for the bases of the miniatures! My compliments!

Thanks everyone!

I've used milliput to form the bases. You basically apply a very thin layer of the stuff on the base, then stamp on small dents with the back of a brush (2 sizes), and then trace lines with a knife. When it hardens, you simply paint it: basecoat, drybrush dark colour, drybrush lighter colour lightly, and if necessary apply a wash.

I've almost finished my 6 Fimir as well. I'll post pics as soon as they're done :)

More finished mini's! Although I haven't gotten any nice daylight pictures, these will have to do for now (with and without flash)

My remaining 3 zombies:

And my Mantic Dwarves (5 ironclads converted into shieldbreakers):

I'm going to use these as mercenaries for my heroes in HeroQuest. These will be the dwarven equivalent to the Halberdiers (or perhaps swordsmen). The regular ironclad dwarves have shields + 1-handed weapons, and they will be the scouts. Finally I have some dwarven crossbowmen and riflemen, who will obviously be the crossbow mercenaries.
I painted them in different colours so it's easier to see which mercenarie belongs to which Hero. As you can see above, my Heroes have coloured edges on their bases. ;)
