"hello son, how was your night with your friends?"
"it was good, only im pretty down about what happened"
"why?"
"well (breaks down and sobs) my barbarian hero level 12 with furious charge, immoratal ward and the sword of T'fukist Upis'T was walking through some forest and a giant vampire frog jumped on him. Because my initiative was reduced by half after the skink hit him with his poison blowdart an hour before the frog was able to bite me twice, causing 2D6+6 hitpoints with Penetrating Skill so my armour did nothing. Im now down to 23H, 9T and 12S. I might actually loose the character if we run into some Gutter Runners inside the Kings Burial Barrow we plan to investigate next week."
(sorry only just got round to reading your post here)

Actually do go ahead and start a 'Worst/Stupid Fantasy Monsters' thread guys! (if no one has done it by friday night I'll start it on the weekend)
I just thought '30 years of stupid monsters' is just about D&D, we could do our one about all fantasy games. Off the top of my head Fighting Fantasy and RuneQuest have some pretty stupid monsters and I'm sure plenty of other games do too
