Fantasy Flight X-wing Miniatures game

I've been playing this a lot over the weekend, well I had to as I was promoting the UK Games Expo at the Middle Earth Weekend in Birmingham, and between running this and The Hobbit Heroclix game had a lot of fun! The X-wing game is superb, I think it really replicates those dog fights from the movies!! I can reccomend it!

i admite i like the look of the X-wing game the only problem i have with it is there is only 8 models

It's not bad, I invested a fair bit of cash into it but I found that it just did not grab me as a must play game. I'll be putting all my stuff on E-bay this weekend. I used to eat and sleep Starwars but that was in my younger days. I think you really need to stick to playing the scenarios as we found that the Imperial forces just get mashed while the X-wings just shake off hits with their shields.

Yeah I found that the X Wings are tough, although Luke got shot up every time we played.

i have bought the starter set and am pretty happy with it. however it wont take long till i am frothing at the mouth for more models...

its good stuff tho, recommend it. but i have a feeling you need 3-5 per side for a decent kick about

Just seeing if anybody is still playing the X Wing game, and what your thoughts are. From what I hear it's really taking off now and seems very popular in the states. If I find a copy cheap enough I might have to invest.

I'm definitely sold watching some games being played on YouTube and the tutorial make it look great. Gonna see who's doing the best deals then should hopefully have it by the end of  next week.

 Have you bought any other ships or another starter set (heard this is a good option)?

I've become obsessed with this game and have bought 14 expansions (don't want to think about the cost) seriously if you haven't tried this yet you have to give it a go.
