Eye-Bats

To add a little variety to my games I got these awesomely-weird minis to use instead of Giant Bats in Chaos type dungeons and I'm rather pleased with how they came out.
The Miniatures are Gotongi Demons from Ral Partha's 'Das Schwarze Auge' range and the paint job was inspired by an image from http://www.denbeauvais.com/Monsters.html

Re: Eye-Bats

wow Mortis you're really spoiling your gaming group, I mean monster variation?? that's a real GM haha!

I have had a good look through the DSA line and I'm not sure how I missed these guys, they're awesome! Looks like you've done a great job on the eyes; the wings are really nicely drybrushed too. Well up to your normal standard!

Only thing I'd have done differantly would be to use wire and standard bases rather than fly hex bases, which I think really only suit spaceships, would just help the illusion of flight.

Das Schwarze Auge? The black eye. Isn't that some German RPG?

Awesome minis.
They look suiatbly sick and twisted for chaos. ;)

Yea, I've never played DSA but the miniatures are very nice and useful for my games

I'm looking forward to going up against these dude. I thought they looked awesome as soon as they were delivered and the paint job as great.

The next few games are gonna be very interesting with these new additions you've got......... ;)

Yea I think that was part of caught my attention when I bought them.
I still hear the occasional cries of “Look out! Owl Bears!” whenever I put these on the table

These are very unusual & could have looked rubbish if not painted well.............These are painted to an exceptional high standard-the eyes, shading on the wings & the hint of pink with black tips............leaves no stone unturned.
