Has anyone else heard of this very immersive RPG from Germany?  I bought the D20 Engel Corebook and 'Monster Manual' (entitled Creatures of the Dreamseed) from RPGNow.com and I love the background, stories and setting.

Basically it is set in a post apocalyptic future where most of the world is flooded and demonic insect monsters called Dreamseed, are trying to wipe out humanity.  The theocratic and despotic government commands a host of angels with different abilities to protect humanity.  They are called Engel.  

However, there is way more to the story than that and the world is given tons of depth including history, geography, culture, other hazards (including huge pillars of fire), politics and notable people.  I haven't played it but it is a gold mine for great ideas, settings and storylines.

The backstory and world of Engel is super detailed.  It is great and also insane.  It gives lots of room for adventure ideas.
