I'll have to join in the chorus of cooing over this Lovely model! I recognise most of him but where'd the big skull on the front come from? I'm guessing maybe the Cities of Death Admech symbol cut down?
do tell us a little about what parts you used and how you went about painting it

Thank you for the kind words. I now wish i took pictures during the building , but this was my 1st mod and wasn't sure if anything good to come from it.
Mods: The head/face is indeed off a wall section as Robertthedamned said. A bit of putty was used to smooth the head and body together. The main gatling gun i believe is off a landspeeder? (not certain as a mate gave it to me.) The other gun is mostly the original dreadnaught missile launcher, however, i got the forks, brakes and mudguard off a space marine bike and drilled a bunch of holes in it till it looked like a gun and stuck it on the front of the missile launcher as a kind of shield. I retained the slide on clip mechanism for removing the main guns. The "chin" mounted guns are space marine guns. I hacked at the arms and hands till they did not look like arms hands anymore. I thought it would look weird if dismembered space marine limbs where clutching onto the dread's weapons. To bulk up the back, i used a space marine jump pack. On top of what i think is the dread's knees, is a couple of trimmed down necron scarabs. The rest is little bits a pieces i found in my mates bitz box. Basically anything that had a skull on it.
Paint: Tamiya metallic, body is "titanium" which is half way between silver and gold. (my camera has trouble capturing that colour.) The blood splatters are Tamiya clear red lens paint. (for painting tail lights on car models) but its gloss and transparency make it great for blood. The model was then treated with the usual wash and light colour for highlights.
Time: many evenings, I lost count... carving up tinsy tiny plastic parts so they fit together well is surprisingly time consuming.
Its a bit hard to see, but the backward facing "toe" on the right foot is stepping on a marine back pack.
To be honest I was worried I went a bit overboard, but I'm glad you guys like it!
