Braun Von Hellsinger, Witch Hunter.

Hallo all,

here's some WIP shots of my witch hunter, converted from the 40K witch hunter inquisitor. Not a lot done with him other than a hand swap and some serious work to remove the bionics he had. I decided muted tones would look best, think it works quite well. Still got a lot of work to do on him but have a look anyway.

Re: Braun Von Hellsinger, Witch Hunter.

Since it's half finished i will not judge the painting by whats there but I can see where your are going with it. The twin-tailed comet you've added to his hat is a great touch and I'd be interested to see how you got rid of the bionics and what you put in their place but I can't see in these pictures.

I like the original figure and what you've done with it looks great. It's not always easy to convert a figure between Sci-Fi and Fantasy and when you first told me you'd be doing this I did wounder if you'd pull it off but you've done a good job to give it a Warhammer Fantasy look.
I feel that with out the comet symbol to firmly ground the figure in the WHFB setting the figure would inhabit some kind of mid ground between Fantasy and Sci-fi, something like Privateer Press's Fantasy/Steampunk game 'Warmachine', this just goes to show that a little detail can make all the difference to the feel of a figure.

I look forward to seeing the finished miniature

Surely it'd be better to kind of post your own thread to show off all of your own models?

I posted my version here since I thought it might be of interest to compare the two. Also it was interested that two people who have never been in contact were working on the same idea at virtually the same time (march and may of the same year)

Have I broken some forum rule by posting a picture of my own in another's thread? If this is so I will not do so again

I have my own website to "show off" my own models if I was interested in so doing.
