Went a bit crazy as I realised I'd got nothing done for Day of the Damned so I painted AND BASED (

!!!!) 27 zombies and 2 tank zombies. Easily got about the same number again to do, probably more like twice again. These were speed painted, painted an based over two days. They definitely need a spray of matt varnish to dull down the washes but other than that I'm quite happy with them. I'm tempted to put some little clumps of static flock on the bases too just to add a little greenery but I'm not sure if that'd be OTT.

^Tank zombies.^

^Tank zombies again, very happy with how the skin looks on the right hand tank.^

^Zombies made from just Mantic components, I think these look great personally.^

^My favourite combination of bits: GW zombie legs, Mantic ghoul torso and Mantic zombie head. I've only got these two at the moment but I've got the bits coming to do another 10. Slightly costly but I really like how they look.^

Next batch I'm going to scratch build some boomer zombies. I might buy some hunter zombies from black cat bases too.

are the Tanks bought or your own sculpts?

great use of parts combing Citadel and Mantic Plastics

I love the painting! And that done at speed - one model takes me DAYS to paint! fab fab fab fab fab. That's about all I can say. And the tank zombies are awesome. Very cool skin tones on them. Love the eye falling out as well - adds a real macabre sense to the whole thing.

Cheers Mortis. The Tanks are from the FU-UK limited edition zombie pack, I was lucky enough to get them from greenstuff_gav for a very reasonable price.

Cheers Tracey. I've got used to painting 10-20 models at a time, it actually really helps as whilst you're painting your 4-5 figure the first one is nearly dry so you end up with less time sat there literally watching paint dry.

though if the usual Zombie players had to fight two Tanks, they might cry and hide under the table.

Worse if I got mine down, too.. :3
