so, iv not been overly doing the gaming hobby recently because i have a new baby... a new, metal baby...

its a 1963 Morris Minor 1000 that i call Dobbi...

its not actuall STARTED yet but it will....

here is the only instrument cluster... a speedo and a fuel gauge. rev counters are for lasses and queers.

me (yes thats me!!) getting some t-cutting done... as you see it looks quite white and shiney.

this was how it sat before i washed it. very dirty...

so far i have narrowed the non starting problem to a pure electrical problem. it is sparking at the points but not the plug (however the points are not sparking now i have widened the points gap- doh!) and i have changed the rotor arm and may well change the dissi cap.

here we are trying to brethe some life into the old boy...

update: today (weds 2 jun) i have had the back wheels off, put the axl on bricks and pumped the tyres up. iv wire brushed the drum brakes and manged to free one up but one is still siezed.

because it wont roll the brakes must be siezed so the main job was getting the wheels off, cleaning the pretty spider infested brake drums off with a decent wire brush and then hitting them with a big hammer to free them up.

this one is still siezed up... iv been hitting it with the old "massive fucking hammer" tool but its not free'd it up so the WD40 has been applied and no doubt after a second round of "massive fucking hammer" application it will be rolling and then i just have to do the same for the front wheels. then the real fun begins once i get under the bonnet

yeah, got a load of new bits... new points and all that gubbinz that fits in the dissi cap

Lovely motor mate.I see there is a new 'full size' page..............nice to see stuff that works & that is an historical item.My parents had a Morris Traveller until the wood rotted out.Has it got a leather interior?Classic cars is another nice hobby.Hope you do not have to spend too much on it.
