2 Plastic Gobbos

Here's 2 goblins I painted recently.

First up is a Night Goblin standard bearer or possibly a Shaman (I can see him being used a either) which I think came from the 'Battle of Skullpass' boxed game of WFB 7th. It's a fairly simple miniature that I gave a fairly simple paint job in keeping with my small but growing band of blue-clothed Night Goblins (See my blue Goblin Fanatic Here along with a few other minis) This Goblins robes are Regal Blue highlighted up to Enchanted Blue, but I'm using slightly different combinations of blues on each of my Night Gobbos to keep them from looking too uniform - a whole warband of Night Goblins all in slightly different shades of blue should look awesome on the table top (for extra variation I might even throw in a few in other colour robes, maybe Red or Purple). I think I spent more time on moon icon/sign/banner/staff top than I did the rest of figure - I wanted it bright, but to still have defined shading. I achieved this with a base-coat of Iyanden Darksun, highlighted with Golden Yellow and then given a wash of the old Yellow Wash followed by a wash of Griphone Sepia and then re-highlighted it with Golden Yellow. The eye was painted Gore Red and highlighted Ruby Red and the teeth were painted Snake Bite Leather, highlighted with Bubonic Brown and then Bleach Bone and then the gaps where shaded with a mix of Delvian Mud and Badab Black

The second Goblin here is an axe armed HeroQuest Goblin I painted while I was teaching Tracey (Madam M) to paint, to show her all the basic techniques step by step. You can see Madam M's Goblin Here the only difference between the figures is that I chose blue cloth to match my Night Goblins while Madam M opted for the more traditional red (I think you'll agree she's done very well)

Next in line for the Gobbos I think I'll make some Netters, Clubbers and Prodders so they can heard Squigs into battle and after a recent Skirmish battle against Cat's Woodelves I've decided my Goblins need more archers too

Fantastic little minis! I love the moon on the staff - so very evil. The blue cloth colour works well against the green of the skin. I like the way the gobbo's teeth kind of match the teeth of the moon too. I know it's a modelling thing rather than a painting thing, but it's still a cool detail.

I do like the BfSP shaman looking chap, the head of his staff/banner looks really awesome. You can tell it got a bit more attention than the rest of the figure but hell its only a one piece goblin, there's only so much detail on them.

The HQ goblin looks good considering I'd imagine you were having to explain what you're doing as you do it.

Slightly odd note: these guys are nearly to scale on my screen, what a weird coincidence.

Good job as always.
Yep, the moon is the best part of the paintjob! Well done!

Yes, the first thing I thought when I looked at your HQ goblin was: "Mmmh! Very similar to the Madame M one!".
So, since you are more experienced than Madame M, this thing testifies the fact that Madame M does a real good job, so my compliments to this goblin goes to her again.
