Sadly as usaul the prices have gone up yet again. Iv been gaming since 1994 starting with 2nd edition 40k i love the game but for the last five years i'm spending obout £300 pounds a year and most of this is from subsription of white dwarf or the novels, the odd codex.
The standard price for a softback book of £6.99 is about right for most of them being 400 page storys. Most new books in the shops are priced about the same but for how long. I do dislike it when i pay the same price for less pages, blank pages in between chapters ( it would be good to see some art work as fillers) and bigger print just to bulk the books out.
Codex,s I used to buy all the 40k codexs to learn there history the storys and to know what the enermy could throw at me. Because of the price inceases of codexs over the years and the repeat pictures, i have stopped doing this. I only buy about two a year.
i have been looking at other models from other companys through mortis and with the odd disapointment most of the models are on the ball and are better priced. I have just bought a Dwarf warband and althrough i think they have been off the beer lately their bloody good for what you pay.
