"As our success grew we gradually started to be sent specialist desert equipment and people. After a time we had a sizeable Tallarn contingent, most in advisory or staff roles as they understood the logistics and mechanics of steppe and desert warfare.

we also received a small Tallarn Rough Rider detachment, company strength. At first they had little success as the rough pebbles that cover most of our A.O for the first three inches simply butchered their mounts forelocks and hooves. After they captured and domesticated some of the native Mulaaki pachyderms they became a very useful long range patrol and recon group"

I have never painted a model that was more of a fucking chore. seriously. the rider was nice and so was the mulaaki weirdly, but he saddle and tack fucking did my head in. while I was doing it I was swearing never to buy another.

now its done? well i'm considering getting the other two troopers. but I know I will regret it. but there is a story to where I got it from that means its not such a chore to buy another or a few more.
