for HQ no but i have seen 3d printed dreads, rhinos& they did look odd as some of the proportions & i know WF & some others used 3d prints for there prototypes but as your asking if anyone is using one to make there own models then no i think it a question of cost pre unit , right just had a quick look & the costs run something like this,

3D printer $2500 (this is just an RRP from a report but it can go from $1800 - $6000)
computer & software $1500 (you need a high spec computer just for the software & the software isnt cheap)
raw material $70 per Kg (RRP for the plastic powder)
software engineer $?????? (computers are dumb especially when you have to tell it what a millimeter is! so an engineer may ask $3000 a week & then drag his/her ass)
