Space hulk/crusade/advanced revival and questions

I'm going through a board game revival with mates and I'm trying to collect all the old miniatures.  Ebay loves me but my credit card doesn't.

Few questions:
*In Space crusade the Ork commander (WD 134) appears to the same weapons dice for a plasma pistol as for the bolt pistol and power sword.  Is this right? Seems odd to have them exactly the same.
* Are there no rules for IG Orderlies?  Seems strange not to have a mechanic similar to the Orks Painboyz.
