Thanks for the enthousiastic reaction.
No (to your question) I have not simplfied the
rules, I have made them more elaborate and complicated. But the kids dig it.
They are caught by the coolness factor and want to know what they need to get
the most out of their situation. I have actually made a lot of extra cards (for
instance treasure) on which I use old (archaic) dutch words and they search and
ask for explanations. For me, being a speech pathologist, this is a very
desirable situation, because their interest in language is normally a bit under
the average ;-)

will post them on the site.
A bit of sad news: I am fighting for my job at the
moment: we have a terribly right governement at the moment and money and profit
are far more important than educational progress:-(

Sounds like a really cool way of teaching
co-operation. How do you actually introduce the game - do you simplify
the rules? I mean, games like HeroQuest will look like a lot of work to
play - all the different pieces etc. - or do all the orcs and heroes get
people's attention?
