Necrons are not Chaos Androids!!!
==========================
Chaos - Androids are like Imperial Robots made by Chaos Quats who put a Deamon into the Skeleton Maschine!
Necrons are the old Necrontyr Kind who give the C'Tan (Star Gods) a special living metalic body.
This Star Gods made Them to slave we are known as Necrons...
(Necron are Enemy of Chaos !)
I'm not saying they are the same thing - let me explain further
While I am well aware of the background of both the Necrons and Chaos Androids ... the 2 do not coincide in the same version of the 40k background - but design wise they clearly share the same heritage. You see bits of the 40k background had been re-written quite a few times between Space Crusade and the time we saw the first of the Necrons
So the theory goes that for both to exist under the current background it's possible that the robot bodies of the Chaos Androids were at one time those of Necrons. It makes sense that Chaos Android could be demons in Necron Bodies - now who might have done this over laps with the fact that circa 2001 Squats were completely taken out of the 40k background (as in as far the the background is concerned they never existed to start with) but that is a discussion for another thread ...
http://www.starquest.de.cm/ is your website? Why do you have pictures of the Metal Prototype Space Crusade miniatures labelled as '2nd edition Miniatures'? - if you were referring to 40k editions as time periods please note that Space Crusade was first released in 1990, were as 40k 2nd edition was released much later in 1993
Also the body mounted weapons on the Chaos Dreadnought are twin Bolters not Lasers
