Marines vs Nids help...

Hey all, I am posting this here because it looks like this forum gets a lot of traffic compared to the 4th edition one. I'm still on 4th edition because when I moved a few years back that is where I left off. I haven't played since then, so I am a bit rusty.

I have a full Space Marine army (Ultra-Marines), around maybe 5,000 points worth. My oldest son has been away at school and has been working on a Tyranid army that he is bringing back with him (this week) for his Christmas break. So I'm going to bring the marines out of retirement and get them into battle one again!

I spent last week gluing on some broken weapons and things of that nature, I had hoped to put nice decals on them all but I haven't yet had the chance to.

Here is my question - in upgrading to 5th (What he has been playing), I am not too worried about the rule changes so much as I am not sure how the Tyranids have changed from 4th edition. Can anyone who is familiar let me know what I should expect about changes to the Marines and changes to the Nids?
