The Ranger in Pathfinder always looked pretty cool. Paladins are always fun.
Meatshields with Faith.
Definitely a good fun in a horror-ish setting.
I was just looking at the SRD and I could have sworn my rules (beta) had a Barbarian in.

Like Marchomer says - it might be worth finding out the sort of classes the DM favours.
... and what type of horror.
(Ravenloft-ish, zombies, cthullu-esque?)
When I'm in doubt I just go for straight-forward Fighter - they never get burnt as witches, and fit into any campaign, possibly only suffering self-esteem issues in high magic settings.
Online game or face to face?
