I am aware it goes up to 8th edition thanks. However I refuse to pay good money to buy yet more rulebooks and army lists, I would rather use it to light a great big fat cigar. If they haven't got it right by the 6th edition, they're never going to get it right. I have the 6th edition books, so I'll use them, but with some modifications.
The wizbang link I saw, but its fan made, not official. That in itself isn't an issue, but I really dislike the way they went with it. The 5th edition one made more sense, just wanted opinions on whether it would still work in 6th edition.
Mort, I would never enter a competition. For a start most of my minis aren't official or are old GW. Second I wouldn't play a game with less than 10,000 points, I cannot see the point as the game would be about the best army rather than any tactics.
What I'm looking for is using the stuff I have in 6th edition and just adapting stuff from other editions where it doesn't exist. the people I'll be playing will be using the 4 armies I have, so there's no issue from that point of view. I'll be making up 4 good armies and letting people pick which ones they want to ensure balance.
You don't stop playing games when you get old, you get old when you stop playing games.
