Those Altaran ships do look very impressive i agree.
The Earth Federation ships could almost pass for Imperial Star Destroyers. lol
You can get a whole fleet for next to nothing so this is a very low entry level game to set up.
Of course you're gonna need a box or 2 of black HEX boards to make you're spacefield.
The thing that makes me wanna go for this is the potential to add space stuff from all kinds of other games.
Kallistra have made 2 space stations for Space Dreadnought 3000.



Need to order the rulebook before i can further comment on the gameplay.
As usual i would probably change some of the rules to make it easier to play.
Then i would tweak each faction to give them individual powers, weapons, strengths & weaknesses etc.
There is even a selection of Merchant Freighter Vessels to spice up scenarios.
Along with Organic Pirate ships to raid & plunder them...

Considering using different colour metallic paints on each faction too. See what happens i guess.
