The shading and weathered look you've got on the plastering on the buildings looks amazing. I always enjoy looking at terrain that you've painted, you seem to put in as much effort as you do with individual miniatures which is very uncommon, I know I can never be that bothered at least.

First up here's desert-y, adobe, roman-ish looking buildings (some one correct me). The buildings are of simple design and at this scale you don't get lots of detail so these were a pretty simple paint job.
They're meant to be Egyptian/Tunisian style buildings for North Africa I believe, but that style of building is quite common all around the Mediterranean. Which is handy as I have some Deutsches Afrika Korp figures for my next army.

On this last building I put in a little joke as a reference to Monty Python's The Life of Brain as these building reminded me of the architecture seen in the film
Yeah that's going to get a few chuckles and a few sighs of disappointment. I'll be firmly in the former group though!
