Yes I can believe this rumor ... it makes sense both from a real life economic point of view and from GW's distorted point of view too

fact is resin is cheaper than metal and the cost of metal has gone up in recent years and this means GW pay less for the materials meaning higher profits. I doubt they will pass this saving on to customers and lower the prices, as we've seen from forge world GW sell resin like it's some kind of gold that only be found on mars

So the prices will probably go up again and GW will try and justify it saying it's higher quality (which it won't be)
small models will shatter rather than bend when dropped meaning the clumsy kids of GWs current core market will buy more miniatures

yes I'd like to think the resin switch will mean lower prices but I think we all know it won't

Remember that Citadel plastics where originally supposed to be a cheaper alternative to metals, but these days Citadel Plastics cost just as much as Citadel Metals ... and it's nothing do with Citadel plastics being high quality, Mantic and Perry Miniatures have proved high quality plastics can be done for cheaper

Meanwhile companies like Mantic, Spartan, Grendal, Spyglass and others will produce their resins at a more reasonable prices ...
So people of The Lost and the Damned our aim remains as ever ... reminding people there are alternatives and given time GW will not have such a monopoly over hobbyists and may even be forced to lower their prices
