Excellent!

I'm glad you've posted these because I have only a random assortment which includes the Goblin Cave and I haven't seen these other pieces in many years.   I think my Goblin Cave has no grid cross-hairs.  Could that one of the differences between the early Lairs set and the AHQ expansion?

It makes you wonder about what GW thought they were doing when they first brought them out - an RPG accessory needs to be more than card art - but perhaps it was because many players and scenario pull-outs  used different scales (?).

Incidentally there was an apology on the description of the collection I won on Ebay, because the previous owner had drawn a clumsy pen grid on a Chaos Throne Room, which I actually found rather charming, but it does ruin it a little - I've begun not to mind a little hand writing in rulebooks, because it shows gaming enthusiasm!

I'm still a little obsessed with creating natural but contrived grids on paper, with scenic features like little stones delineating the dpace - I find that the cross-hairs or an overlay of straight lines too artificial somehow - like a computer read-out.  Just wait till I try to conquer caverns ... (boy, I'll have to eat my words).

That Bandits Cave would be great for one off random encounters in long journeys -  a fight in the open (Orcs/humanoids) followed back to their lair where the loot is.   One session kidnap and rescue scenarios. Ace.

The Goblin Cave reminds me a lot of the caves in Oblivion - it's the rocky levels and the fencing, I think.

EDIT
A quarter way down this page at RPG.net under "Generic" is a list of GW of some of the floor plans and expansion sets from the early 80's.
