Personally I use the newer Citadel Orcs as Big-Un's because most of my Orcs are older Citadel (...) ones which are a little small
I exactly do the same thing!

ps- what kind of golem is it?
The colossal golem were the final boss of an industrial metal taste D&D campaign (in fact the entire campaign was strongly inspired by 'Destroy Erase Improve' a song by Meshuggah, that was the soundtrack of the last battle too

), it's a wire/papier-mache/DAS/green stuff mixture.
In background terms, it's a big jointed metal puppet covered with a just discovered extra-tough black rubbery stuff. It's activated with magic energy in the purest form, but takes its power and part of its will from the soul of a demon trapped in a huge crystal inside itself, this thing grant to the construct some special resistance too.
In gameplay terms, it's only a pimped colossal adamantine golem with demonic resistances

The Colossal Golem intrigues me, is it inspired by something from a Manga?
It's widely inspired from mangas! My aim was to create the classic big-bad-monster that want to destroy Tokyo (the battlefield was in fact a semi-destroyed city). The base of the miniature is in fact a battle grid where the players can move, I've done this choice to improve the 'Oh-my-gawd-a-manga-bad-monster-so-huge-he-can-walk-above-us-Waaaaaah-May-anyone-save-us-children' feeling.
