Loctite Ultra Gel.
It's got some vulcanised rubber in it. Or something.
It's handily workable for a good few seconds (even on porous surfaces), and is kinda shock absorbant too. Holds well even when spannered white metals fall to the floor.
No substitute for pinning of course, but for the sake of convenience it's pretty good really.
