I've used the Zzap stuff before and its pretty good, not significantly better than any regular superglue though. The excellerator also worked with the other brand of superglue I had at the time (I forget which one though).
The best use of the accelerator was to fill holes by filling it with bicarb then dropping some superglue on then spraying some accelerator onto it, instantly solid and sandable gap filling. Worked well on model railway stuff anyway hehe.
I tend to just breathe on setting glue to help it dry a bit as superglue drys with moisture and breath has a lot of water vapour in it compared to air, got to be careful not to breathe in the fumes too though.
