As time's gone by and a lot of Mordheim's been played once thing rose to my attention:
Dwarf Slayers are "too soft". That is, they die very easily (much to their own delight, I'd assume) to the point where they guy playing dwarves simply says "I won't buy them. They cost too much and die too easily." He instead simply hopes he gets a "That Lad's got Talent"-result on a Henchman of any kind rather than spending his hard earned GC's in purchasing another Slayer that dies before he's got time to get anywhere near surviving quality.
This is not a Good Thing since Dwarves are difficult to play as it is.
A spontaneous idea rose to my mind:
A Dwarf Warband Leader who's lost a Slayer in a game is allowed to roll a Leadership-test.
If he succeeds, the reputation of the lethality of his missions has reached the Slayer Community (such as it is) and the player gets to purchase a new Slayer at a reduced cost. (-10/20 GC? Half Price?).
How do you guys feel about that?
