As I've mentioned in previous posts I'm planning to put together a Genestealer cult. At the end of last year I discovered that due to owning Space Hulk and Space Crusade I have a heck of a lot of genestealers and Genestealer Hybrids, on top of this I also have various Tyranid parts lying around and a few sprues of the newer Genestealers. So I decided its about time I started doing something with all these bitz. My plan is to use all these parts (with a few of the new ghouls thrown in for good measure) to make a heavily converted Genestealer Cult including Hybrids, human hosts and lots of variants on the 'pure-strain' Genestealers.
Here is one of my first conversions inspired by the Ymgarl Genestealer in Rogue Trader and more recent Genestealer concept art.
The body is obviously from a Space Hulk Genestealer and the arms are those of a plastic hybrid with the hands replaced with zombie hands. I scavenged the extended tail from an old Tyranid Gargoyle and the toothy-sphincter-thing that replaces the face is a piece carefully cut from one of those Infestation Marker things that come on the new Genestealer sprues. All it needs now is a little green stuff to fill the gaps!
Next I'll be working on using parts from the old and new plastic Tyranid Warriors to create a giant Genestealer that will represent a Brood Lord or Patriarch
