Whats Space Hulk like compaired to Space Crusade?

Heyo,

I've only ever played Space Crusade, but Space Hulk seems to have a bigger following (especially since the re-release) So how does Space Hulk compare to Space Crusade in terms of gameplay, fun and tactics?

I've always found Space Hulk to require more tactics. Where as Space Crusade is more of board game.

In Space Hulk you are have a fluid tile structure and a mission book. Essential you are marines that are working your way through the hulk to stop/destroy its progress.

1 player plays the marines and one the genestealers. The marines are not expected to survive as the odds are stacked way against you. As the marrine you have to try and complete the mission before dieing.

I prefer the customisation of Space Hulk and the expansions if looking at the original version.

I agree that i feel more restricted in playing space hulk by it's correct rules.
Are we really playing space crusade by the correct rules.
I like the flexability to change any rules to play a better game.

I would like to try out
An Inquisition team with a squad of storm troopers.
Cornial shaffee last chances kill team.
Maybe a Death wing kill team
Some sort of protection game where you have to keep the tech priest or tech marine alive to complete the game.
The options are endless.
